HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO SIGN FOR MYSELF? ​

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR ID IF I AM UNDER 18?

YOU MUST BE 18 years or older to sign for yourself for any piercing, even ears.
​
WHY 18?  As of May 2012, NYS Penal Law Article 4-a Section 460, says so.  Sorry.
You wIll need ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • a parent/legal guardian with you in person
  • a birth certificate and a school picture ID
 
If you don't have ALL OF THE ABOVE, See below for other forms of accepted ID.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE FOR A PIERCING IF I HAVE PARENTAL CONSENT?

WE DO PIERCE EAR LOBES AFTER THE AGE OF 6 MONTHS.​

 14+ (WITH PARENTAL CONSENT) for:
-Ear Cartilage
-Lips, Navel, Nose, Eyebrow
 18+
-Tongue
-Dimples, Microdermals, Nipples, & Privates​
 
PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST BE:  Actual parent or legal guardian.  NO ONE ELSE can sign consent!  Not a brother, sister, aunt, grandma, grandpa, friend's parent or friend unless they are your legal guardian in which case court guardianship papers will be required..
 
IN-PERSON MEANS:  Guardian must sign consent form IN PERSON.  So no notes, taking a waiver home to bring back signed or phone calls allowed.

WHAT DO YOU PIERCE WITH?

WE DO NOT USE PIERCING GUNS!!!!
 
1.  They subject clients to direct contact with the blood and body fluids of the previous person the gun was used on because they cannot be steam sterilized.
2.  They cause significant tissue damage.
3.  Most jewelry made for guns is not suitable for fresh piercing​s.

We use:​
316L ASTM F-138 Stainless Steel INCLUDED.
Choice of birthstone gems INCLUDED.

OR:

Ti-6Al-4V Titanium
OPTIONAL for an extra $10 per piercing​.
Color options for the Titanium vary by piercing and are limited in choices.  Please call or stop in to see which colors are available.

WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

The birth certificate is the easiest way to prove guardianship however if you do not have access to your birth certificate or have a guardian not involved in your birth, these are your options...
 
IF YOU AND YOUR GUARDIANS LAST NAMES MATCH:  It's okay if you do not have access to your birth certificate in this case.  We will only need photo ID's.  So, guardians drivers license and your school (or other photo) ID.

IF YOUR LAST NAMES DO NOT MATCH: 
For step parents:  Please bring marriage certificate to childs parent.
For guardianship from other reasons:  Please bring court papers deeming you legal guardian of child.
 
 

At the time of piercing we provide:

- An in-depth after-care pamphlet with step-by-step cleaning instructions, do's and don't during healing, what's normal and not, and other tips and tricks to heal as quickly and cleanly as possible.
